MYSA sponsors football teams in three divisions.  The Pee Wee division is an instructional league for boys in 3rd-4th grades.  The Jr. Midget division is for boys in 5th-6th grades.  The Midget division is for players in 7th-8th grade.  Each team can have a maximum of 25 players.  This will be a contact sport using MYSA provided equipment (the 7th-8th grade team uses some equipment provided by the school's jr. high program).

Our teams compete in the EVW Football League which includes teams from Ashland, Auburn, Bennington, Blair, Waterloo/Valley, Elkhorn, Fr. Calhoun, Gretna, Omaha, Hickman, Logan/Magnolia (IA), Malcolm, Missouri Valley (IA), Murray, Nebraska City, Plattsmouth, Springfield, and Yutan

We will play 6 to 8 games either on Saturdays or Sunday afternoons.

We will be practicing 2 to 3 times per week at the Malcolm school.

The 3rd-4th grade instructional division (Pee Wee) will stress the fundamentals of the game in an instructional environment.  This will allow the coach to be on the field while the boys are playing in order to teach proper mechanics and more importantly for the safety of the players.  Our goal this fall will be to establish an understanding of the game in each player.

The 5th-8th grade divisions (Jr. Midget/Midget) will also stress the fundamentals of the game. This will be a more competitive environment.  Coaches will coach from the sidelines.

The cost of tackle football in 2010 will be $115 per player.  This cost will cover the league fee, insurance, and uniform and equipment costs.
